Mobicious, the online resource for all things mobile, now has a free service for creating ringtonesOr free ringttone converter

Mobicious, the online resource for all things mobile, now has a free service for creating ringtones.

Using an mp3 from your desktop, you can choose a 20 second clip for Mobicious to convert into a ringtone. Send it to your phone, and you’ve got a free and easy way to personalize your mobile. The good thing about Mobicious’ service is that you get to pick which part of the song you’d like to make your ringtone from.

This should be a welcome offering for those that don’t like to spend money, and certainly don’t like Apple’s new ringtone service where songs must first be purchased through iTunes, and an additional fee is required in order to convert it into a ringtone. Ringblendner is another ringtone creation site that’s recently launched, though it’s service is not free, while Meez has recently launched a mobile package for ringtones and wallpaper too.

Google Gadget Ads

Google Gadget Ads :

The widgets will be able to support real-time data feeds, images, video, and more. They can be developed in Flash, HTML, or a combination of both. As they look and feel more like web content, they’re a significant departure from the Google ads we’ve grown accustomed to. They’re far more attention grabbing and enticing than text ads, that’s for sure. You can use either a CPC or CPI pricing model for your text ad, and as with all effective widgets, they can be shared by others and easily spread across the web.

There are a few different targeting options, too. These ads can be placed contextualy, geographically or based on demographics. Google will provide reporting so you can track the success of your gadget ads. Right now the biggest downfall with these ads is that, if placed in your typical side par advertising position, it may be easier to overlook the fact that this is, in fact an interactive widget that will not immediately redirect you to another web page. With these targeting options, the launching of Google Gadget Ads could be fair warning for other contextual ad companies like Media River or Tribal Fusion.

Wize

Wize, a consumer review site that combines Web 2.0 community features with expert commentary in a way that could herald a new method of comparison shopping.

True, websites such as CNET and Amazon have long published expert comments along with user reviews. But Wize sets itself apart with its so-called WizeRank, A 1-100 scoring system that factors in both consumer and expert opinions. The consumer-expert combination can differ from the ratings experts on CNET and similar sites give products. For example Panasonic TH-50PHD8UK, a 50-inch LCD TV monitor, received a near-perfect 99 rating on Wize, while CNET’s 10-point scale rated it just 7.8 or “very good.” Notwithstanding, many consumers suffering from information overload just want a quick take on a product’s worth. Hence the value of WizeRank’s scoring system. Web publishers and bloggers who focus on consumer products can place a Wize Widget on their sites to supplement their own review, and potentially increase conversions.

Plenty of opportunities still exist for entrepreneurs wanting to help online shoppers research products. Those sites could take a cue from stock market portals such as Yahoo! Finance. Enter a ticker symbol on Yahoo! and a plethora of information on the stock and parent company appears on your screen in a neatly organized fashion—everything from analyst opinions to historical price data to the company’s location and top executive salaries. Similarly, consumer review sites could create organized displays covering all facets of a product, from press releases to trade magazine articles and product manuals, all supplemented by user comments. That kind of highly granular information might appeal to people who get as much satisfaction searching for products as they do using them. And people browsing equals advertising revenues and referral fees for innovative publishers.

FranchiseGator made it's name in finding unusual but very profitable franchising opportunities

FranchiseGator made it's name in finding unusual but very profitable (in the right hands, of course) franchising opportunities. Franchising is no longer about burgers, minimarts and gas stations. You can own a boxing franchise (like LA Boxing), a honeymoon franchise (All About Honeymoons) or even sell spring water from Brazil (http://www.ecostreams.com)

Consider the honeymoon franchise. Ninety-Six percent of newlyweds will travel for a honeymoon and there are over 2.4 million weddings in the U.S. every year. All About Honeymoon began selling franchises in April 2004 and currently has 105 franchises in the U.S. and Canada. Contrasting other agencies, All About Honeymoons agents consult with couples to recognize what they are looking for in their cherished retreat. When couples decide to make their wedding or travel plans, they receive a wedding web page- for news about their upcoming wedding, as well as a travel registry, which allows friends and family to contribute to the couple’s travel experiences. The couples also receive a complementary All About Honeymoons card, with which they can earn cash back rewards and points for future vacations.

Get Paid For Giving Feedback

Corporations rely on consumer opinions when designing their products and services, and market research companies are willing to pay you for that valuable feedback. Sites that charge fees usually inflate there listings by providing links to "special rewards surveys" that actually end up being marketing ads or sites that require out of pocket expenses. Online-paid-surveys.net offers free paid survey directories, and allows readers to both rate and review paid survey sites. It also has a good blog with useful information for taking paid surveys.
Paid Online Surveys directory with user and editorial reviews of legitimate market research, free paid survey panels for US, Canada, UK, Australia, Asia-Pacific, international, and teen participants.

With SpendView.com users can easily track and visualize money transactions and accounts

With SpendView.com users can easily track and visualize money transactions and accounts. The main database has all your accounts listed including bank accounts, investments and other funds. Accounts are organized with credits and debits and the information is organized into visuals that help users actually see their spending and saving habits, which can help reorganize finances that are out of control or simply need order. Secondly, the website engine organizes spending into tags where money is devoted to a specific category. For example, the tag “car” has it’s own mini account that keeps track of funds spent on gas, insurance, upkeep, etc. Users can also take advantage of the targets section where expenditures are ranked by percent and users are notified and can gain control over their money allocation. Transactions and accounts are also presented in the form of monthly summaries that has a graph showing how money was spend, percent of income spent, and account and target information. Instead of waiting for your bank statement to come, use SpendView.com and be in control.
Consolidating your transactions and categorizing them automatically is cool. But how does that help you? Data is useless unless you extrapolate real, valuable information out of it. Typically, personal finance tools display information in vanilla, tabular formats accompanied by a few pie charts.

Create Your Own Magazine

8020 Publishing seamlessly combines the “wisdom of the crowds” mentality with publishing to create media which appeals and is relevant to their audience. The result is beneficial for both parties; subscribers are happy because they have a magazine that not only caters to their interests but also features their submissions, and 8020 is as already hooked up with a loyal fanbase, minimizing any advertising costs.
It means that the magazines created by 8020 Publishing aren’t actually created by the company at all. Rather, the 8020 community submits the content to 8020, who in turn weave the user submissions into printed magazines. The only role the editorial staff plays is choosing which content will be selected for the magazines (the site currently publishes two – JPG for photography and Everywhere for travel), and of course, retains the traditional role of putting the magazine into print. If you’re interested, you can visit either magazines’ individual site (access via “Magazines” on the main 8020 page), and sign up to submit your content.
