With Adium, you can connect to any number of messaging accounts on any combination of supported messaging services

Adium is a free instant messaging application for Mac OS X, released under the GNU GPL and developed by the Adium team. With Adium, you can connect to any number of messaging accounts on any combination of supported messaging services and then chat with other people using those services.

How To Use It:

Installing Adium is similar to installing most Mac OS X applications.

Download the Adium disk image. Note that download managers/accelerators may interfere with this.
If an Adium window doesn't open automatically, double click the downloaded file
Drag the Adium application to your Applications folder (Or wherever you'd like to keep it).
"Eject" the Adium disk image, which has an icon of a drive
The Adium disk image will still be present in your download folder (probably on your desktop). You can drag this file to the trash, as it is no longer needed.
To load Adium, locate it in the Applications folder (or whereever you dragged it) and double click.

The capital expands the company’s Series C round, announced in August, to a total of $36 million, and brings the overall investment-to-date to $64 million.

Palo Alto Networks is among the most strongly funded young companies in the security and network infrastructure sector.

How Much They Got From VCs:

RockYou, the leading innovator, creator and distributor of applications on the social web, today announced an additional $17M in investments from Softbank, leading shareholder of Yahoo! Japan, and SK Telecom Ventures, the venture capital arm of SK Telecom. In June of 2008 RockYou announced an initial C Round investment of $35M, led by DCM; this strategic round brings the company's funding to a total of $67M.

The combined strategic financing will enable RockYou to extend their presence in the Asia-Pacific market. RockYou has been focusing development efforts overseas, including expansion into China's largest social network, Xiaonei.

SoftBank and RockYou will also set up a new joint venture company that will develop widget and application products and services for use on PCs and mobile devices in the Asian market, in particular the Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese markets. Each of the JV Partners will contribute technology, know-how, systems and human resources to the Joint Venture.
