The Indian Outbound Travel Monitor provides an understanding of the market segments of Indian outbound travelers

In 2008, approximately 10 million* overseas trips will be made by Indians. By 2010 it is estimated that this will go up to about 16 million*. There is limited information on the Indian outbound travelers' behavior, perceptions and experiences. The India Outbound Travel Monitor 2008 is the first syndicated survey of its kind to provide you with insights on the Indian outbound traveler to fulfill this need gap and help marketers and those related to the travel and tourism industry make informed decisions. *Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)

The report is based on face to face interviews conducted with 2000 outbound travelers across tier I and tier II cities. The study was conducted across five big cities and five smaller cities spread across the North, East, West and South of India.
