What does FameCast do?

FameCast is an online talent contest.

VCU says:

FameCast is an online competition to find America's best new talent. FameCast will provide artists an opportunity to connect to a nationwide audience and compete for $10,000 and national exposure. It is an online talent contest.

There are weekly contests to participate in, and results are tracked all the way.

It appears, based on those involved on the "about us" page that this is legit, and not just an interesting customer acquisition tactic
