Chokti is a travel resource site that lets you search for podcasts and other information regarding the location you’re looking up. Podcasts can be downloaded and saved to an iPod to have a street-level tour when you travel to various locations.
The information on Chokti is submitted by users, and is kept up via RSS. As a user, you can add a pushpin on the Chokti map, which is really just a place marker for a location where you’d like to see more information. The basics you can add include the address, hours of operation, prices, website URL, phone number, holidays and closures, and more. The additional information, like photos and podcasts, must be requested. There’s a section where all of these tour requests reside, and you can respond to these requests by adding a feed.
