ThoughtBlend is an idea database in which users can submit their own ideas as well as view, rate and discuss the ideas of others

What Company Is Offering:

ThoughtBlend is an idea database in which users can submit their own ideas as well as view, rate and discuss the ideas of others. Everyone can view ideas and comments, but users must be signed in to submit, rate and discuss.

How It Works:

Users, once signed in, can rate an idea on a scale from 1 (bad idea) to 5 (great idea) by clicking one of the lightbulbs next to the idea. The rating in the RED box represents the average rating the idea has been given by all users in total, on a scale from 1 to 5.
When determining priority in a list of ideas ordered by "best" or "worst", a Total Rating is used, which is a sum of all the ratings that idea has gotten. For example, if an idea has been rated 3 times (ratingA: 2, ratingB: 5, ratingC: 1), the average rating in the red box would be 3, while it's Total Rating would be 8. Obviously the more popular an idea is and the more it's rated, the higher up it will show up on the list when sorted by "best ideas."

When returning to an idea, a user's original rating for this idea will be highlighted. Idea ratings can be changed at any time.
