How It Works:
CoveritLive took the concept of instant messaging and combined it with the idea that an informed, smart writer could make a live blog worth watching. From there, content (video, audio, images) and interactive (polls, viewer questions) features began to fall into place.
Who Is Behind The Idea:
CoveritLive is led by Keith McSpurren. Keith founded web based software startup Salesdriver which was later purchased by Carlson Marketing and has had other leadership roles such as CEO of Durham Furniture and Vice President of Flagstone Capital a small private equity fund based in Toronto.
Bob Barnard leads the technology effort. Bob created the web based software company Analyzer Software and has been managing technology projects through BBMG Digital which has delivered leading technology websites during the last 4 years. Prior to running his own companies, Bob was head of technology/engineering at Organic's Toronto office.
