Floating Hotel ----UnCommon Business Idea

The CPH LIVING hotel is a designer hotel, And all the furniture and almost all the equipment in the hotel have been designed by Waterliving's architects.

"They dropped all brass and maritime equipment and chose instead to stick to a style that suits the lightness that naturally occurs through the interplay of light and water. We have used half-matt glass to soften the light and on the whole we have chosen to stick to materials that match the water surface. The furniture is maritime and made of teak, and here the style is also light and streamlined," explains Mikkel Stewart, a leading architect on the project.

CPH LIVING covers an area of 480 square metres, with an indoor area of 300 square metres and an outdoor area of 180 square metres. In addition, there is a roof terrace measuring 150 square metres. The hotel is 30 metres in length, 7.2 metres in width and is 6.2 metres above the waterline.

The indoor area contains 12 rooms, a reception, conference rooms, a linen room and a storage room. All rooms have large windows and French balconies, as well as floor heating, flat-screen TV, wireless Internet access and coffee-making facilities.

The hotel is smoke-free, and on arrival all guests are provided with a key card to the roof terrace, which has deckchairs and offers an impressive view.

The barge Viva, located alongside the new hotel, is a gastronomic mecca with star chef Paolo Guimaraes at the helm. Paolo and his team will also provide the new floating hotel with food and service.
