What Company Is Offering:

Memeo is focused on providing software and services that will dramatically simplify the way individuals manage digital media and information across their desktop computers, storage devices, media appliances, mobile devices, and the web.

Their goal is simple, providing innovation solution to meet people's every-day needs.

How It Works:
Memeo's LifeAgent suite of robust and feature-rich data management solutions provide consumers and businesses with a new way to backup, sync, and share their digital lives. LifeAgent AutoBackup for PC users backs up new or changed files automatically to almost any backup device, such as an external hard drive, USB flash drive, networked computers or hard drive, and online storage account.

How Much They Got From VCs:

They announced that it has received a Series B round of funding led by the Foundry Group. In combination with a recent investment from G-51 Capital, the latest round of funding underscores the market demand for simple solutions that reduce the time and effort needed to backup, sync, and share the ever increasing amount of digital content such as photos, music, video, and documents.

Memeo received over $8.1 million in equity funding. Although the company is profitable, it will use the additional capital to boost its market position, expand its team, build distribution channels and enhance product innovation and development.
