Ript for “rip” images and text from the web and your computer as easily as you can rip ideas from your favorite magazines

What Company Is Offering:
Ript was born from the idea that there should be a way to “rip” images and text from the web and your computer as easily as you can rip ideas from your favorite magazines. The act of “ripping” in the virtual world should be just as simple and satisfying.

They are a team dedicated to building software for women that is both playful and purposeful. They built Ript for those in our lives who are the chief purchasing officers, archivists, planners, connectors and organizers of the family, but we think anyone will love it. We worked and, (sometimes), fought hard to give you an easy, yet flexible way to arrange and share what you ripped.

How It Works:
While you’re working, your pages are stored as Ript files, which means that you can only view them using Ript. When you use Save As, Ript changes them to the .jpeg format. Jpeg files are a standard type of image file that people can view using a variety of programs. Every computer can open a jpeg file, so you can be sure your friends and family will be able to enjoy your page.

You cannot edit a .jpeg file in Ript once you’ve created it, but you’ll still have the original Ript page to work with after you create the .jpeg.

There are two ways to share your pages. You can email your page or you can save the page as a .jpeg file. To email the page, click on Email in the menu to the right of the Table. To save the page as a .jpeg, click on Save As in the menu.

Aside from the people pictured here, who were intimately involved in creating Ript, they had an amazing amount of help from many other talented people, both inside and outside of Oxygen.
