How It Works:
After you contract with an online payroll firm, you key in the personal data of each employee—including salary, date of hire and bank account information.
Each month, at a time you specify, the online firm withdraws payroll from your company’s account and deposits salaries directly into each employee’s account. It’s completely paperless.
PayCycle also withholds taxes from employees’ checks, deposits withholdings in a separate account we use to pay taxes, and processes sales commissions and bonuses.
When salaries are paid, employees get an e-mail letting them know their online stub is ready to be downloaded. Employees log onto their personal PayCycle Web page, where they can review and print out their stub.
Recent Updates:
Online payroll service PayCycle is launching a new version (2008) with two major upgrades: PayToday and Peachtree integration. The PayToday offering lets users signup with PayCycle and run payroll the same day. This should really help on the new customer front, as several businesses seeking payroll services are in immediate need to use the payroll tool, so the PayToday option will appeal to potential businesses and help PayCycle’s growth efforts.
