Affinity Circles, is one of the first online social networks as a way to stay in contact with friends and colleagues from Stanford. Unlike other public social networks developing at the time, the Stanford network was a trusted and secure community accessible only to Stanford students and alumni.
In 2003, the original Affinity Circles founders took the private social networking application and marketed it to other alumni associations and organizations that could benefit from member-based online communities. While the application and customer needs continue to evolve, the company remains committed to creating trusted social networks.
